December was a quiet month for us. The first weekend we finished off with our Gauteng Champs championship and freestyle. I got a 72% for my freestyle which I’m very proud of!
At the awards it was announced that Galaxy and I won 1st in the country for the DSA Challenge which took place a few months ago, this was so surreal!!
Unfortunately after giving Gally a bit of a break he’s pulled up a bit lame.. in the meantime I have been riding a 17hh tb called Zakumi!
He is super sweet and safe and I’m having tons of fun learning on him. I have never really ridden big horses so the whole thing is different for me as I struggle to adjust to something new. After a few rides I finally had my first canter on him today. It is very big and there’s lots of movement so I think it’ll take a while to get used to but I do think it’s doable!
