Lucy RL's Final Blog #teamlikit

I am very sad to be writing my last blog as a Likit Ambassador, however, I truly have had the most amazing year with Fred and Roly representing Likit and being part of the team. We have progressed a lot throughout year and really appreciate all the support Likit have given us!

This month we took Fred off to Crown Farm one day event. After spending lots of time on his dressage, I was thrilled to be lying 4th before the show jumping! He was such a good boy and flew both the Show Jumping and Cross Country to go clear within the time to finish 2nd in our big class! The cross country was the most technical course we had ever done and he was such a star!

I also took Roly to Henley County show to do some more Veteran showing! Again, he impressed everyone and was such a good boy in the busy environment and was a superstar to finish 3rd in his class and again he has qualified for the Veteran Horse Society 2nd round regional qualifiers!

We then went off to Blenheim Eventers Challenge and I was the Junior rider on our Riding Club Team! It was such a fantastic experience and I loved riding at such a big venue! Fred felt amazing and jumped a super round and went clear in both the cross country and show jumping phases and was within the time to finish on 0 penalties! I was so thrilled to be able to ride at Blenheim as it has been my aim all year, so to be able to go as part of the team and to go clear was a very big achievement for us both!

Later in the month we went to Munstead for the Riding Club London and South East dressage championships, Fred and I stood in for one of the riding club members who could not attend. It was a really fun day and Fred was a very good boy and did a very nice accurate test despite the very hot weather! We finished 11th in our arena which I was so pleased with especially as we didn’t even have time to run through the test before we went as only found out we were going three days beforehand!

Our year being a Likit Ambassador finished on a high as Fred gave me a fantastic ride going clear around the Riding Club Festival of the Horse Eventers Challenge Area Qualifier and finished on only 2.5 time faults and Qualify for the National Championships in 2018!

We have had a super end to our season and our year on Team Likit! Sadly, now I am back to school again, however, we have lots of exciting things coming up to look forward to!

Lastly, I would like to thank Likit for giving us this amazing opportunity and the most fabulous year on the team! It has been so much fun and I know that the new team will have an amazing time and I wish them all the best of luck!

Lucy, Fred and Roly!
