The winter has well and truly arrived, and I'm already counting down the days until British Eventing season 2017 begins. November has also brought the start of my dreaded mock GCSE's - which I have tried to ignore! But it hasn't stopped me getting out and about this month!
The first competition of the month was for Judith and I, we headed to Addington to compete for our school, which was exciting! The first class of the day for me was the 85cm, where Judith and I finished 8th! I was over the moon as it was a big competitive class! We then did a dressage test, Prelim 12, where I was very pleased to score 71.5%, annoyingly a place off getting a rosette! Finally we competed in the 90-95cm Royal Windsor Team Qualifier, where Judith did a lovely round, unfortunately I may have gotten a bit too competitive - and ended up attempting a tight turn in the jump off which sent us flying off past the fence I was meant to be jumping!
The next weekend was Towie's first show since her injury, it was an indoor hunter trial at the Berkshire Collage of Agriculture, where we entered the 80cm and 90cm class. I was so happy with how nicely Towie jumped, only rolling 1 pole, and finishing 12th in a class of over 60 people! I rewarded her with an Apple flavoured Likit Treat Bar, I also bumped into fellow Likit Ambassador Lucy Rowton-Lee, which was lovely!
The last couple of weekends of the month have been a bit quieter with the build up to mocks and revision taking priority, I still managed to get both ponies out to have a dressage lesson with Sarah Hawkins, which stopped me going stir crazy with Biology revision! As I write this blog I'm happy to say I'm almost halfway through my exams and I cannot wait until they're over!
December should be a busy month, I'm attempting to juggle the rest of my mock exams and get out competing both ponies in dressage, I hope to get out showjumping and have another Pony Club rally which Richard Waygood, and I'm going skiing and of course, there's that little matter of Christmas too!
