Disciplines you compete: Showjumping, Dressage, Huntertrials.
1. How old were you when you got your first pony/horse and what do you remember about him/her?
I have been riding ever since I can remember and was ‘placed’ upon a pony at the age of around 4 months
and have been around horses ever since! My first loan pony at the age of 7 was a lovely 12.2hh mare called
Dizzy who taught me lots. Dizzy had a passion for apple Likit treat bars and marmite sandwiches, which she
knew how to say please for by lifting up her front leg!

2. Do you remember winning your first rosette and what was it for?
I don’t remember my first ever rosette yet one that I remember clearly was when I won a handy pony
(obstacle course) competition on Pipe–a pony which I shared when I was around 6. This was my first ever win
and I remember being shocked that we had won overall.

3. Which riders inspire you?
Both Laura Renwick and Charlotte Dujardin are really inspirational as I admire their skills and passion as
horse riders. I have both seen them competing (including Charlotte at the London 2012 Olympic Games!)
and the harmony between themselves and their horses is amazing and something that I always strive
for when riding.
4. What is your greatest achievement to date in your chosen discipline?
I have achieved so much throughout the years I have been riding especially in making progress with Izzy as
she has improved so much from when I began riding her a year ago. However if I had to pick one, it would be
qualifying for the NSEA Championships later this month in the jumping with style. I was amazed to see that
Izzy and I had been placed 2nd and had qualified for the champs out of a class of over 70 competitors.
5. What do you hope to achieve with your horse or pony in 2015/2016?
I am definitely planning to continue to compete regularly as well as promoting the Likit brand which I am
really looking forward to. I am mainly aiming to achieve regular double clears at 90cm sj as well as
potentially beginning to do a bit of eventing. There are also the NSEA championships coming up at the end of
the month so I will be working towards that as well as trying to qualify for various championships over the
winter, including the Pony Club Dengie Winter League show jumping and dressage. I am really looking forward
to what 2015-2016 holds as I am aiming to achieve as highly as possible with lots of hard work and take every
6. Which Likit toys and treats do you like to use and why?
Izzy uses her Likit Holder in and out of the stable which she likes to play with and try to bite the Likit all at once.
She has a knack for shoving it against the wall and eating it within 2 minutes so the Likit products included in this
prize will definitely be put to good use!
7. Finally, what piece of horsey kit could you not live without?
I can definitely say that Izzy and I could not live without Likit! She is always looking for a Likit in her Likit Holder
while tied up outside her stable, but when it’s empty, she bites it and shakes it around in annoyance that there
is nothing there! Likit treats have definitely been a lifesaver ever since I started riding!
