Name: Alexandra van Randwyck
Age: 21
Name of pony/horse(s): What A Primadonna (Maria) Appollo Star (Pheobe)
Disciplines you compete: Eventing, Dressage, Showjumping

1.How old were you when you got your first pony/horse and what do you remember about him/her?
I’ve been riding since I was 6, but didn’t get my first pony Thunder until I was 12, after a lot of pestering and holidays helping at my local riding school! I’ve still got him and he has taught me so much over the years.

2. Do you remember winning your first rosette and what was it for?
My first rosette was probably a from one of the mini competitions that were run at the school I rode at, but the first rosette I won on Thunder was the 1’6 jumping at the Alton show, it was my first ever competition and we won!

3. Which riders inspire you?
William Fox-Pitt, it’s amazing how long he has been at the top of his sport and how many horses he has produced to championship level. He is such a sportsman and always puts the needs of his horses first.

4. What is you greatest achievement to date in your chosen discipline?
In eventing in has to be completing my first CIC*, with just one down and a few time faults. However, this summer I competed at the National University championships finishing 22nd and have just been selected for the Dutch Student riding team.

5. What do you hope to achieve with your horse or pony in 2015/2016?
With both horses I plan to show jump and dressage through the winter, probably competing in the Pony Club Dengie competitions. Next year, I hope to start Pheobe at BE100 and move up to Novice.

6. Which Likit toys and treats do you like to use and why?
The Likit Snaks are my most used product as they’re great to reward the horses after they’ve worked well, but they’ve had to be moved into a pot as someone tried to get into the packet…

7. Finally, what piece of horsey kit could you not live without?
I definitely couldn’t live without my flat studs, I like to save as much time as possible on competition days and these can be put it the night before.
