After a busy competition season Sebastian is having a bit of a quieter time whilst I work with Cash over the winter to really progress with our training now I have had a few months to get used to him. We currently need one more point to qualify for the British Dressage Winter Regionals at Medium. We are then hoping to get out in the summer a lot more prepared and ready to get some very competitive scores and attend many of the same Championships as we did this year. Looking to an overall big goal of maybe attempting Advanced Medium towards the end of next year ready for GB squad selections....fingers crossed.
Here are some photos of myself and cash warming up for training with Peter de Cosimo! We had a great lesson, working on accuracy (taking my time to set things up and not rush)...preparation; particularly on half pass and pirouette. My next competition is this coming Sunday, so I will be training hard this week to learn 2 new medium tests! One is a real tricky one with a lot of movements one after the other so I have my work cut out! Fingers crossed!
After the training I handed out some likit brochures and small bags of likit treats to the other riders in the clinic. They were really pleased. They commented on my fabulous Likit rug which cash arrived in and his numnah that we showed off proudly!
I will be turning 14 in February so am hoping to start my BHS stage 1, to gain as much experience and knowledge as I can I work as a groom at a dressage stud as well as doing lots of writing for judges at competitions. My trainer has recently offered me the opportunity to ride some of her young dressage horses and to watch and help her training others! I can't wait!
Again I would really like to thank yourself and everyone supporting us at the Likit team for all your support and generosity, I really appreciate it and I am so proud to be able to go out and about everywhere wearing my great Likit rug, gilet and saddle pads when competing and the horses most definitely love the products!!
