The North West Show Jumping & Working Hunter Championships 2012

After a dismal season of rain cancelled qualifier shows it was a great relief to get the Championships underway.  But we had a championship of two halves.  The Saturday was baked in sunshine for the pony day finals, the ground was excellent and the competitors had a fantastic competition.  Sunday morning dawned and we were met with floods on the roads and the showground under water.  After inspection it was determined not to be safe to jump on the ground and day 2 of the championships had to be postponed till the 7th October.

The championships proved hugely popular despite so many cancelled qualifiers, over 160 competitors took part on the Saturday travelleing from 9 counties to compete.  The LIKIT finals proved to be competitive events.
