Name: Beatle Payne
Pony/Horse: Seapatrick Amber, Bright Ebony
Amber's favourite Likit: Mint
Bea's Favourite Likit: Cherry
Type of Likits I use: Likit Holder, Tongue Twister and Treat
started with Oasby Pony Trial on my pony Seapatick Amber which was
the first trial for the British Pony Team. This was then followed
by 4 more trials at Lincoln, Weston Park, Twesledown and finally
Brand Hall 3 day event. The highlight of the trials for me was
coming 6th at Weston Park and getting the best dressage mark that I
had got all season.
After the trials had finished I was then planning on running in
novices and having some fun on Amber but due to the weather
conditions and the amount of rain we had most of my events were
cancelled. My first event after all of the bad weather was
Aston-Le-Walls which was very muddy but still didn't cancel. Amber
got a 31.5 dressage which is the best score that I had ever had and
we ended up coming 6th which I was really pleased with.
After this I did the Pony Club Area Eventing on Bea
(Bright Ebony) who I only had for a week before the competition.
She went amazingly well and got a 28.5 dressage, one down show
jumping and went clear inside the time cross country to win and
qualify for the Pony Club Championships. At the championships she
went really well in the dressage and got a 28.5 again. I was really
pleased with the way she went in the dressage as there was a lot
going on and she didn't get distracted. She jumped really well in
the show jumping but just had an unlucky fence down. The cross
country was causing some problems and a few before I went someone
had a bad fall so the course was on hold for a long time. Bea
jumped fab around the course and didn't even look at the drop log
to narrow fence and jumping the Likits sponsored fence in her
stride to complete clear inside the time. I finished on a score of
32.5 which left me in 4th place which I was over the moon with as I
had only had Bea for 2 weeks.
The next event was Burghley Horse Trials Pony Club
Team Show Jumping for my Pony Club Branch the Atherstone. Bea
jumped well as it was a very technical course with lots of twists
and turns. The highlight for me was being on the TV jumping Bea
when they showed Burghley on BBC2!"
"I use Likits for my Ponies and Horses as a treat when they have
done well at an events and we also use them when we have anything
on box rest to help with boredom. I have been supported by Likits
for 2 years and my ponies love Likits as a supporter."
