Here at Likit Products we are always looking for ways to encourage more people to try Likits by making our toys more appealing & affordable.
A recent brainwave was to remove the Likit Refill from the Likit Holder package, not only reducing bulk for shipping but also saving on VAT. Previously customers were charged VAT on both the holder and the Likit as they were sold together, now you are only charged VAT on the Holder as the Likits can then be purchased separately VAT free. This reduces the RRP to £9.99 including VAT making the product more affordable!
The brightly packaged new style Likit Holders come complete with a co-ordinating rope and are available in seven colourways including; Red, Blue, Glitter Pink, Green, Yellow, Purple & Clear Glitter so these's bound to be one to fit in with your colour scheme.

Likit Products are proud to sponsor Alex and her Pony Blue. Already World Pairs Champions and the highest placed female at the British Champions, we see a bright future ahead for the pair!
Over the winter Alex and her farrier Huw work hard to keep Blue in shape. Having had laminitis in the past its important that Blue's weight and diet are carefully monitored. To help him entertained and to make mealtimes last longer Blue uses the Likit Snak-a-Ball. Alex's mother Nikki explains 'Blue loves to play football with his Snak-a-Ball once he has finished the feed, its a great way to keep him entertained, we even take it with us to competitions, it is has been up and down the UK many times!'
Likits would like to wish Alex and Blue the best of luck for the season ahead and especially the 2008 World Championships in Australia this October.

Likits were delighted to sponsor up and coming dressage talent Joanna Barry at the recent Winter Championships in Hartpury, UK. Joanna (25), based in Kirk Newton near Edinburgh was a formal headgirl for Carl Hester and now regularly takes advantage of training sessions on her own mounts.
At the Winter Championships Joanna and her horse Rupert (Waratah IV) scooped 1st place in the Novice Freestyle and also secured 4th Place in the Novice Open, a tremendous achievement for such a young horse (he is only rising 5)! Her other ride Freddie (Vivaldi) is sadly out of action at the moment but will be back on the circuit soon. Until then Joanna has been keeping him entertained with his new Tongue Twister, "Freddie thinks they (Likits) equal get well grapes!"
We would like to wish Joanna all the best for the rest of the year and wish Freddie a speedy recovery.

The Snak-a-Ball originally designed for horses has found a new admirer. The giraffes at Chicago Zoo have been trialling the Snak-a-Ball and the keepers think that they are fantastic for enriching the giraffe’s environment.
The equine Snak-a-Ball from Likit products stimulates a natural grazing behaviour which is beneficial the horse’s digestion. The ball contains the horse's daily food ration and can be used in the stable or the field for the horse to play and feed throughout the day.
Andrew Robertson, Managing Director of Likit Products, a subsidiary of Buccleuch Country Group, said "We are delighted to get this news from Chicago Zoo. This is the first time we are aware that a Snak-a-Ball has been used to enrich the environment of giraffes. The Snak-a-Ball is a versatile feeding ball originally designed for horses, however has also been used by pot belly pigs and even elephants."
"The Snak-a-Ball is usually found in fields or stables as horses enjoy being rewarded by their efforts of moving the ball around, however the keepers at Chicago zoo decided to hang up the ball as giraffes are not grazing animals. This has now stimulated a trial at the zoo into reducing development of boredom in confined animals."

Likit products were delighted to help Avon Vale Pony Club when they were looking for donations for their raffle. A young member Katie Ebbs is seen here purchasing her ticket.
The raffle raised a total of ?651, which will be spent on upgrading the Club's First Aid equipment and new jumping blocks for use at rallies and camps.
Happy camping Avon Vale!

During April 2007 Practical Horsemanship undertook their inaugural UK tour spanning 12 nights. Their aim is to spread the message of non-violent training for equines.
Each demonstration included the introduction of a saddle and rider for the first time to a starter, one demonstration solving a groundwork issue, one ridden issue and to end the evening the loading of a previously non-loading horse.
